The most customized extension experience we offer

At Golden State Strands, our K-tip extensions are designed for clients who want the most seamless, lightweight, and customizable extension method available.
Unlike traditional factory bonded extensions, every bond is custom made by hand to create the perfect density match for your natural hair. This allows us to create an incredibly natural blend while prioritizing scalp comfort and long term
hair health.

K-tip extensions, also known as keratin bond extensions, are individual strands attached using a keratin bond and heat tool. Because the bonds are small and strategically placed, this method offers exceptional movement, flexibility,
and customization.
This method is known for:
• The most natural movement
• Maximum customization
• Lightweight wear
• Flexible styling options
• Long lasting results
• A highly discreet finish
Most stylists apply factory bonds exactly as they come. We do not.
Every bond at Golden State Strands is custom created by hand to match the density of your natural hair. This allows us to avoid bulky, heavy bonds that can place unnecessary stress on fine or fragile hair.
Our approach prioritizes:
• Scalp health
• Proper weight distribution
• Natural movement
• Seamless blending
• Long term hair integrity

One of the unique advantages of K-tip extensions is their ability to accentuate color and create the illusion of highlights and dimension without using additional chemicals on the natural hair.
Strategic placement and customized color blending can often create brighter, more dimensional results while helping preserve the integrity of your natural hair.

• Have fine or delicate hair
• Want highly customizable placement
• Wear their hair up frequently
• Want the most discreet extension option

Yes. K-tip hair can often be rebonded and reused depending on its condition and maintenance history. During the rebonding process, extensions typically lose an average of 10–25% of their density and approximately 1/2 inch of length.
Yes. K-tip extensions can be air dried without compromising the integrity of the bonds, although fully drying the scalp area is always recommended for overall scalp health.
Swimming, sweating, workouts, and an active lifestyle are all approved. However, chlorine and salt water can dry out both natural hair and extension hair, so proper aftercare is important.
Healthy hair always comes first. Our goal is beautiful results that still protect the integrity of your natural hair long term.

Proper maintenance is one of the biggest factors in preserving both your natural hair and your extensions.
To protect both your natural hair and extensions, we recommend:
• Brushing gently multiple times daily
• Avoiding oils directly at the bonds
• Sleeping with a loose braid, hair bonnet, or on a satin/silk pillowcase
• Using professional salon quality products
• Fully drying the scalp after washing or sweating
• Keeping maintenance appointments every 6–8 weeks
• Around 6 weeks for finer or more fragile hair
• Up to 8 weeks for thicker/coarser hair
