What Are Beaded Row Extensions?

Beaded row extensions are a semi permanent extension method where a track is created using small silicone lined beads. Wefts of extension hair are then sewn onto the row for added fullness and/or length.

This method is known for:

• Natural looking fullness

• Comfortable wear

• Reusable hair

• Faster installation compared to some methods

• Easy styling versatility

Who are beaded row extensions best for?

Beaded row extensions are a great option for clients who:

• Want added fullness or dramatic length

• Wear their hair down often

• Prefer fewer installation points compared to individual bonds

• Want reusable extension hair

• Have fine/thin to thick/coarse hair

• Want a lower daily maintenance routine than some other extension methods

FAQs

How long does the hair last?

With proper care and maintenance, beaded row extension hair typically lasts around 9–12 months. In some cases,

color refreshing or toning maintenance may be recommended over time to maintain the desired tone and brightness.

Will they damage my hair?

Extensions themselves are not damaging when properly installed, maintained, and removed. Incorrect installation,

excessive tension, or poor home care is what typically causes damage.

Can I wear my hair up?

Yes. Proper placement allows for versatile styling including ponytails, half up styles, and waves.

Can I color the extension hair?

We do not recommend coloring extension hair at home. Any toning or adjustments should be done professionally.

How many rows will I need?

This depends on your hair density and goals. Some clients only need one row for fullness while others may need

multiple rows for both fullness and length.

Can I work out and wash my hair normally?

Yes. Swimming, sweating, and an active lifestyle are approved. However, chlorine and salt water can dry out both

natural hair and extension hair, so proper aftercare is important.

Home care + Maintenance

Proper maintenance is one of the biggest factors in preserving both your natural hair and your extensions.

We recommend:

• Brushing extensions gently 2–3 times daily

• Using salon quality products only

• Sleeping with a loose braid, hair bonnet, or on a satin/silk pillowcase

• Drying the scalp and rows thoroughly after washing

• Avoiding sunscreen or oils directly on the extension hair

• Scheduling maintenance appointments every 6–8 weeks

• Around 6 weeks for finer or more fragile hair

• Up to 8 weeks for thicker/coarser hair
